Meals

At Safe Haven, meal times are an important part of the day. We want the children to enjoy the social interaction just like they would at home, sitting together in a homely atmosphere.

We encourage our younger children to feed themselves enabling them to become more independent. Meals are served for our Pre-school and Toddler Room in our dining room. Babies have their meals taken down into the conservatory.

Sharon Cottingham & Lydia Thomas our qualified cooks, prepares our meals. The meals are freshly cooked on the premises, giving the children a balanced diet, fulfilling all their nutritional needs.

Our meals will be served at the following times:

7.30am-8.30am
Breakfast
10.15am Morning
Snack
11.30am-12.30pm
Dinner
2.00-2.30pm
Afternoon Snack
3.15pm-4.00pm
Light Tea

We have spring/summer and autumn/winter menus including a separate menu for the babies. Each menu is changed daily and rotated every three weeks, providing a range of meals and preventing meals from becoming boring. We also encourage the children to try a range of multi-cultural foods.

We are happy to accommodate any special dietary requirements upon request.

Water is also available for the children to drink freely throughout the day.

Our daughter joined Safe Haven over a year and a half ago, and I can say without any doubt, it was the easiest decision we could have made. Our daughter had now been in two rooms, tiny tots and toddlers. Both of which have provided excellent care. We have never had to question the compassion and care shown right from our initial visit.

The staff and environment at Safe Haven is everything you would look for when choosing care for your little ones and we instantly knew it was the right place for our family. Safe Haven provide wonderful experiences for the children, as a working family it can be easy to feel your children are missing out on fun days but Safe Haven provide seaside days and animal visits, which are thoroughly enjoyed by our little girl.
